Where are the Children?.
Home Schooling—An Education Resolution
To The People of YHWH:
Believing fathers in YHWH and Yahshua are commanded are to bring up their children in the training and admonition of YHWH (Eph. 6:4) and to teach them as they sit, walk, lie down and rise up (Deut 6: 5-7), and
Yahshua has commanded us to make disciples of our children and teach them to observe the Torah as He has commanded (Mt. 28:19-20), and
Teaching our children everything that Yahshua commanded involves their learning to think biblically about all aspects life (Dt. 6:4-9) and to train them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Messiah (2 Cor. 10:5), and
Our thinking is not to be conformed to this world’s way of thinking, but our minds are to be renewed and sanctified by the truth of YHWH’s Torah (Rom. 12:2; Jn. 17:17), and
We are commanded to seek the kingdom of YHWH first (Matt 6:33) and therefore parents should must teach our children the principles of the kingdom, and
Training to be a faithful witness should be a vital part of a Believer’s education, and
Yahshua himself said that whoever should cause a little one who believes in him to stumble, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea (Matt 18:6), and
The fear of YHWH is the beginning of knowledge (Pr.1: 7) and in Messiah are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col.2: 3). Worldly secular education does not begin with the fear of YHWH and does not teach the centrality of Yahshua and therefore government schools cannot impart true wisdom, knowledge or discernment to children, and
Yahshua said, “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters” (Lk. 11:23) The government school system that claims to be “neutral” with regard to Yahshua is actually anti-Messiah, so that children taught in the government schools are receiving an anti-Messiah education, and
The government schools are self-admittedly worldly in their instruction and the education offered by the government schools is officially without YHWH, and
The government schools are adopting curricula and policies teaching that the homosexual lifestyle is acceptable, and
Children are like arrows in the hand of a warrior (Ps. 127:3-5) so we must understand that children are weapons (arrows) to be aimed for the greatest impact in the kingdom of YHWH. Just as it would be foolish for the warrior to give his arrows to his enemies, it is foolish for Believers in Yahshua to give their children to be trained in schools run by the enemies of YHWH, and
Government schools represent the world’s system—and therefore Satan’s system- and true believers are commanded to come out of the world’s system, and
Children in government schools are receiving an education which is anti-Messiah and anti-Torah without YHWH, and
Millions of children in government schools spend 7 hours a day, 180 days a year being taught that YHWH is irrelevant to every area of life, and
Most children in government schools are converted to an anti-Messiah worldview rather than evangelizing their schoolmates, and
Extensive surveys of student attitudes and beliefs show that acceptance of a secular humanist worldview by all children attending government schools has increased dramatically over the last fifteen years, and
Even the Southern Baptist Council on Family Life reported to the 2002 Annual Meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention that 88 percent of the children raised in evangelical homes leave their faith at the age of 18, never to return, and
Many excellent curricula are available for homeschooling parents that demonstrate the glory of YHWH throughout His creation, and experience has proven superior educational accomplishments of children educated in such curricula, and
Scripture teaches that the companion of fools will be destroyed (Pr.13: 20), and that evil company corrupts bad habits (1Cor.15: 33). Therefore, it is incumbent upon ministers of the gospel to warn YHWH’s people that their children are being corrupted by spending half of their waking hours instructed by teachers who are required by law to promote an anti-YHWH education.
We pray that the people of YHWH cry out to YHWH to give them a heart for this effort and enable them to remove their children who are blessings from YHWH, from the worldly government schools and see to it that they receive a thoroughly scriptural education, for the glory of YHWH, the good of Messiah’s church, and the strength of their own commitment to YHWH and His son Yahshua.
We further pray that the people of YHWH encourage all believing congregations associated to work energetically to counsel parents regarding their obligation to provide their children with a scriptural education either through home schooling or thorough private schools. We also pray that the older believers would support the younger parents who are stressed and stretched by the cares of this life and feel that without physical and financial help, this endeavor of homeschooling would be impossible. These older believers could help in this effort by offering their time, expertise and above all, wisdom.
