This is an urgent prayer request dated September 28, 2007 from our Brother and Sister, Don and Petra Esposito from the Congregation of YHWH Jerusalem:

Dear Brethren,

Greetings and shalom in the wonderful names of Yahweh & Yahshua. We pray that all are

well. Brethren I have a most urgent prayer request to inform you about.

As most of you know Petra and I have been working on an international adoption for well

over one year now. It has been a quite stressful situation, and one that has truly taught us

many lessons, not the least of being the great and awesome power of our Heavenly Father

to intervene in our defense at several junctures that looked impossible. Truly He is Elohim

of miracles.

We finally got through all the legal struggles to get all our paperwork in this summer and as

of June 30th, we were placed with a newborn girl that we named Moriyah (Yah will provide).

We were blessed to see our daughter this summer as we also set up to start to sponsor an

orphanage in Central America from where our baby is from. She is a most beautiful and adorable baby.

There have been some problems with inter country adoptions from Guatemala in the past

year and corruption in the Guatemalan adoption system and there has been talk of a

shutdown of the program with the US and Guatemalan government.

We were informed yesterday that it does seem from a news brief released by the

Guatemalan government that they will be stopping all international adoptions with the US

as of January 1, 2008. More shocking was the statement that indicated that they will not

allow adoptions in process to continue at that point.

This means that about 5,000 couples will be in the same situation as Petra and I, and that

we will not be allowed to complete our adoption and take home our baby girl Moriyah. The

adoption system is very complicated and you have to go through a procedure of steps to

finish an adoption. The last step is called PGN where you are approved by the Guatemalan

government for your adoption. We are not even into that process yet which takes at least 3

months and in many cases more than that. So our adoption cannot be properly processed

by January one.

We are asking anyone who may want to help to join us in conjunction with FOA (Focus on

Adoption) in signing the petition at the following link

http://www.petitiononline.com/foafoa1/petition.html ,

which is a formal petition to President Bush and the US congress to petition the

Government of Guatemala to follow international law and to allow families in the situation

as Petra and I are in, to be grandfathered in and allow us to finish the legal process we

started before the stopping of adoptions and bring our baby home.

Please know that as citizens for the Kingdom of Yahweh we are not asking anyone, as

neither are we ourselves, to get involved in a legal process outside of Yahweh’s kingdom

principles. We are merely asking anyone who wishes to help to sign a petition stating that

you believe the US congress and President Bush should act according to their power to

make sure the Government of Guatemala obeys international laws and agreements which

adoptive parents already signed.

We have also sent our personal petition through prayer to a higher Government

( Kingdom of Yahweh), and we fully know that He is in full control.

But faith without works is dead and we need to do our due diligence for Him to bless our

efforts, and we pray that you may also share in our petition to Yahweh and also share in

His blessing to us to receive our daughter.

Caring for the orphan is very important to Yahweh, and if the government of Guatemala

does not allow these adoptions to finish, not only will there be 10,000’s distraught adoptive

parents, but there will be 5,000 orphans that will never have the privilege to have a good

home.

I thank you much for your prayers and concern,

Shabbat Shalom,

Don & Petra
